Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily unit operations, addressing issues as they arise using clinical judgment and experience. Demonstrate advanced clinical skills and effective leadership in collaboration with healthcare team members.
- Assign daily tasks to nursing staff based on competency assessments, ensuring that patient acuity levels are appropriately managed.
- Provide direct patient care when necessary and ensure safe administration of medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards.
- Monitor changes in patient conditions, directing staff to take appropriate actions and document interventions accurately.
- Work closely with physicians to establish and review treatment goals, ensuring they align with patient preferences and care plans.
- Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration to coordinate patient care and participate actively in team conferences.
- Foster a compassionate environment by empathizing with patients and their families, ensuring culturally sensitive care.
Qualifications:
- Current and valid Registered Nurse license in California.
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
- Basic Life Support certification.
- Effective communication skills in English.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment.
- Understanding of patient classification and staffing needs.
- Proven leadership experience in a healthcare setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
- Previous experience as a Charge Nurse in an acute care environment.
- Bilingual communication skills.
- Recent nursing experience in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care.
