Self-Checkout Associate

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Self-Checkout Associate to join our team at Winn-Dixie Retail Stores. As a guardian of the Self-Checkout area, you will play a critical role in protecting the company against inventory losses or fraud by overseeing the accurate scanning and recording of products at self-checkout stations.
Key Responsibilities- Protect against inventory losses or fraud: Continuously provide exceptional customer service and intervene with appropriate responses when necessary.
- Monitor transactions: Observe self-checkout transactions diligently to identify any irregularities or suspicious activities.
- Provide customer assistance: Educate customers on the self-checkout process to minimize errors and promote a smooth experience.
- Keep work area clean and organized: Stock front-end products, clean and sanitize equipment, and return carts to the shopping cart corral.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: 0-3 years of experience in a retail environment.
- Language: English proficiency required.
- Skills: Basic computer skills, ability to read and write English, and a high standard of integrity and reliability.
This role requires standing or walking for long periods, utilizing manual dexterity, and working in a fast-paced retail environment. The employee may be exposed to working in indoor, outdoor, cold, freezing, heated, and wet/humid working conditions.
Physical Demands: While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand or walk on various types of flooring, utilize manual dexterity, talk, see, hear, smell, and perform repetitive movements with both hands and/or both feet.
