Job Summary

This is a dynamic and challenging role that requires a skilled and experienced maintenance professional to oversee the daily maintenance of University Village Apartments, The Quad, and North Commons residential communities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and evaluating a preventative maintenance program, delegating work orders, and collaborating with the Operations team to manage work orders and repairs throughout the communities.

This role is ideal for a motivated and detail-oriented individual who is passionate about providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the highest level of quality in their work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a preventative maintenance program to ensure the optimal functioning of facilities and equipment.
  • Delegate work orders and assignments to employees, ensuring timely completion and quality of work.
  • Collaborate with the Operations team to manage work orders and repairs, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Conduct daily site and periodic unit inspections to identify and address maintenance needs.
  • Prepare buildings and student units between occupancy periods, including painting, maintenance, and deep cleaning.
  • Monitor grounds for safety and curb appeal, ensuring a clean and welcoming environment for residents.
  • Participate in a 24-hour emergency on-call rotation to respond to facilities emergencies.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of general maintenance experience in plumbing, electrical, and HVAC; certification in HVAC a plus.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and navigate stairs; valid driver's license required.
