Position Overview
As an Evening Culinary Preparation Specialist, your primary duty will be to ensure the systematic and precise preparation of ingredients essential for our menu items, adhering to Health Department guidelines. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Efficiently preparing produce and menu items as required.
  • Taking ownership of the quality of food products prepared and served.
  • Consistently adhering to our standard portion sizes, preparation methods, quality benchmarks, and kitchen protocols.
  • Maintaining adequate stock levels of food products at line stations to facilitate seamless service.
  • Portioning food items according to established portion sizes and recipe specifications.
  • Keeping your workstation clean and sanitary, including tables, shelves, counters, and floors.
  • Ensuring the kitchen and preparation areas meet or exceed Health Department cleanliness and sanitation standards.
  • Properly handling, storing, and rotating all products.
  • Performing food preparation and product portioning as necessary.
  • Opening and closing the prep area correctly and following the kitchen stations' closing checklist.
  • Participating in all scheduled employee meetings and contributing suggestions for operational improvements.
  • Carrying out additional duties or roles as assigned by management.
  • Monitoring ingredient and food item stocks and assisting with inventory supply orders.
  • Maintaining the neatness and orderliness of your station and the restaurant through cleaning tasks.
  • Storing and rotating all products according to FIFO principles.
  • Properly maintaining and utilizing all equipment according to manufacturer and company specifications.
  • Exhibiting and promoting proper hygiene and sanitation practices.
  • Maintaining a friendly, courteous, and positive demeanor at all times.
  • Presenting a clean-cut, neat, and professional appearance.
  • Assisting fellow employees to enhance the overall operation of the restaurant.
  • Potentially supervising and overseeing other areas or personnel based on management needs.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned by upper management.
On certain evenings, you may be required to operate a high-temperature dishwasher or a three-compartment sink to assist with cleaning kitchenware during closing tasks.
