As a Weatherization Inspector with Waccamaw EOC, Inc., you will play a crucial role in assisting residents who require energy assistance services. Your primary responsibility will be to assess potential dwellings, determine eligibility, and provide necessary documentation.
About the Role:This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join our team as a Weatherization Inspector. In this position, you will work directly with qualified residents, providing assessment, consultation, and eligibility determination services. You will also assist with application processes, prepare necessary program documentation, and disseminate information about our programs.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to review, maintain, and retrieve client files. Additionally, you should be familiar with data and physical inspections, possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record, and be able to lift and carry at least 25 pounds.
Responsibilities:- Determine eligibility of clients by assessing potential dwellings.
- Prepare necessary forms and documentation for program services.
- Conduct follow-up tasks with clients to verify assistance, including on-site visits.
- Collaborate and coordinate services with other Human Services Agencies to meet assistance needs.
- Assist in data input, documentation, and management of client information files/folders.
- High School education or equivalent with at least two years of varied business and administrative experiences.
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing, as well as present program reports.
- Familiarity with data and physical inspections.
