About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Structural Building Engineer II to lead our team in designing and developing federal projects, including aviation and commercial buildings. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the structural design process, collaborating with internal disciplines, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality construction documents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Lead the structural design process for federal projects, including aviation and commercial buildings.
  • Collaboration and Coordination: Collaborate with internal disciplines, including architecture, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical, to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Construction Documents: Prepare construction documents, including structural drawings and specifications, to ensure compliance with federal regulations and industry standards.
  • Quality Control and Assurance: Perform quality control reviews and ensure the achievement of key milestones, including project timelines and budgets.
  • Technical Guidance and Leadership: Provide technical guidance and leadership to junior and support staff, and manage discipline and small multidisciplinary teams as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
  • Experience: 7+ years of relevant experience in structural engineering, including experience leading and/or providing technical guidance to entry/junior-level staff.
  • Professional Registration: Professional registration in a relevant field.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word, as well as understanding of building codes and specific design codes related to structural engineering (ASCE 7, AISC, ACI, etc.).
  • Software Proficiency: Proficient in Revit and skilled in the use of structural design and analysis software (ETABS, RAM, Enercalc, etc.).
  • Travel and Work Environment: Ability and willingness to travel in the US and internationally, and work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
