Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacist Assistant to join our team at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective distribution of medications to our patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and dispense prescribed medications for patients in accordance with state and federal laws and FHS policies and procedures.
  • Perform compounding of medications and provide advice for non-prescription medications.
  • Take inventory and track medication and supply orders, and follow up on payments.
  • Perform routine clerical and administrative tasks in support of the day-to-day operations of the department.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment, use appropriate aseptic technique, handle controlled substances appropriately, and complete all educational modules.
Requirements:
  • Current enrollment in an ACPE accredited pharmacy school.
  • Licensed as a Pharmacy Intern by the Washington State Board of Pharmacy.
  • Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification.
