The Travel CT Technologist plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality imaging services at UMHS - University of Missouri Hospital. This position requires a dedicated professional who is committed to patient care and advanced imaging techniques.
Certification Requirements- BLS Certification is mandatory.
- ARRT Certification is essential.
- CT Certification is required.
- Availability for 50% of holidays and on-call duties.
- Flexibility to work on weekends and float to different units as necessary.
- Engagement in a teaching facility environment.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience is required; first-time travelers will not be considered.
- Execution of complex tasks related to advanced imaging protocols, including CT Cardiac, Stroke perfusion, and Trauma.
- Support in procedure protocols and performance for a diverse range of patient acuity levels, including ICU, Trauma, General Anesthesia, Sedation, and Inpatient care.
- Assessment of images for technical quality and proper labeling for radiologist review.
- Maintenance of accurate patient records.
- Orientation and training for new technologists.
- Proficiency in using the image archival system (PACS).
- Provision of education and training for student technologists.
- Collaboration with radiologists and physicists to develop innovative protocols and techniques.
- Completion of unit-specific duties as outlined in departmental documentation.
- BLS, ARRT, and CT Certifications are required.
- Level 1 trauma experience is necessary.
- Evidence of ARRT-CT certification for CT Technologists.
- Willingness to work 50% of holidays.
- Availability for on-call duties as needed.
