Key Responsibilities:
  • Routine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks such as repairing plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC systems, and other building fixtures.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and troubleshoot issues related to building systems and equipment, and take appropriate action to resolve them efficiently.
  • Repair Work: Conduct minor repairs and renovations as needed, including painting, carpentry, and drywall repair.
  • Safety Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify safety hazards, ensure compliance with building codes and regulations, and take corrective actions as necessary.
  • Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests, such as power outages, leaks, or equipment failures, and take appropriate measures to minimize disruptions.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain an inventory of supplies, tools, and equipment necessary for maintenance and repair work, and ensure adequate stock levels are maintained.
  • Vendor Coordination: Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance and repair services that cannot be handled internally.
  • Cleaning and Janitorial Duties: Assist with cleaning and janitorial tasks as needed to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the facility.
  • Documentation: Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and expenditures to track maintenance history and identify recurring issues.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two or more years in maintenance, facilities management, or a related field is required.
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of building systems, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with colleagues, and external vendors.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
  • Knowledge of forklifts, and other warehouse powered equipment.
  • Able to utilize computer and Microsoft Office products.
