Key Responsibilities
  • Provide patient care activities under the direction of a Registered Nurse and/or physician, ensuring the highest level of patient satisfaction and safety.
  • Collect and document objective and subjective data and observations about patients, utilizing your critical thinking skills to inform care decisions.
  • Complete nursing assessments and report all data to the healthcare team, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
  • Implement the current nursing care plan, medication or treatment, and communicate patients' responses to the healthcare team.
  • Observe patients for adverse reactions to medications or treatments, taking prompt action to address any concerns.
  • Perform routine laboratory tests, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Educate patients and family members on health-related topics, promoting empowerment and self-care.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved school of practical nursing.
  • Current Ohio license as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
Preferred Qualifications
  • One year of patient care experience, with a strong foundation in ambulatory care.
Physical Requirements
  • Requires full body motion to move and lift patients, manual finger dexterity with good hand-eye coordination, involves extensive standing, walking, and occasional lifting.
  • Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
  • Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours.
  • Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids.
  • Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
Personal Protective Equipment
  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
