Job Summary:

Hunterdon Healthcare is seeking a skilled Surgical Technician to provide high-quality patient care in the operating room. As a key member of the surgical team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures and maintaining a safe and efficient environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assume responsibility for providing patient care in accordance with established AORN standards and guidelines.
  • Utilize technical skills as a first-line direct patient care provider and work collaboratively with the surgical team to ensure compliance with all hospital policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each surgeon's specific needs and provide as needed.
  • Participate in the preparation and maintenance of the operating room, including the setup and operation of surgical equipment.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure the safe and efficient transfer of patients between departments.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Graduate of an accredited OR Technician program preferred, with at least two years of experience.
  • Must be highly motivated with leadership and strong surgical skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills required.
  • Ability to use all surgical equipment, including laser, bovie, and video equipment.
