Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Ascension. As a key member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for operating MRI scanners to obtain high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate MRI scanners to produce high-quality images of the body.
  • Prepare and position patients for examinations, ensuring accurate and safe procedures.
  • Enter and monitor patient data, transfer images to PACS, and develop film in an automatic processor.
  • Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines to ensure patient safety.
  • Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to PACS.
  • Maintain equipment and report any malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly department, including procedure rooms and storage areas.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date.
  • One or more of the following certifications: Cardiographic Tech, Radiologic Technologist (Magnetic Resonance Imaging), Radiologic Technologist (Radiography), or Medical Sonographer.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree.
