As a Concrete Mixer Driver with CEMEX, you will be responsible for safely operating a ready-mix truck to deliver concrete to various construction sites. This role requires strong driving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Drive a ready-mix truck to and from construction sites, adhering to DOT regulations and area road conditions.
- Check loads to ensure proper and safe transportation of concrete.
- Estimate concrete slump and distinguish between proper and improper mixes.
- Verify delivery instructions with plant personnel to ensure accurate delivery to customers.
- Develop strong relationships with customers to maximize opportunities for CEMEX.
- Maintain equipment in good condition and perform pre- and post-trip inspections.
- Assist other company employees as needed and adhere to all CEMEX, D.O.T., and O.S.H.A. rules and regulations.
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL A or B)
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Acceptable CSA and MVR records
- High school diploma preferred
Continuous exposure to extreme heat, cold, noise, and working outdoors. Must wear protective equipment while on the job.
Physical RequirementsHeavy work, exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds constantly to move objects.
