Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Meat Associate to join our team at SpartanNash. As a Meat Associate, you will be responsible for preparing and producing meat products, packaging and labeling meat products, and merchandising meat products. You will also be responsible for stocking backroom with meat products, rotating and dating cases/buckets, and notifying the Meat Manager if products and supplies need to be ordered. Additionally, you will work as a team with other departments and stores to achieve growth in our SpartanNash Retail stores.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and produce meat products to production planner
  • Package and label meat products per program plan
  • Merchandise meat products per flight plan/merchandising expectations
  • Stock backroom with meat products - rotating and dating cases/buckets
  • Notify the Meat Manager if products and supplies need to be ordered
  • Work as a team with other departments and stores to achieve growth in our SpartanNash Retail stores
Requirements
  • High school diploma (GED) preferred
  • One year of retail or related experience preferred
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Detail-oriented
