Peer Recovery Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Peer Recovery Specialist to join our team in providing crisis intervention services to individuals in need. As a Peer Recovery Specialist, you will work closely with clients to assess and evaluate their crisis situations, develop crisis plans, and provide support and guidance to help them navigate through challenging times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate crisis situations to determine the best course of action
- Develop and implement crisis plans to ensure client safety and well-being
- Provide support and guidance to clients in crisis, including de-escalation techniques and crisis intervention strategies
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients
- Document interactions and maintain accurate records of client progress
Requirements:
- Peer Recovery Specialist Certification (CPRS) or willingness to be certified within a one (1) year of employment
- High School Diploma or equivalent and at least one (1) year professional experience
- Three (3) years in full recovery AND five (5) years lived experience with mental illness, substance abuse, or a co-occurring disorder for yourself or your family
- Valid driver's license and proof of current automobile insurance
