Academic Interventionist

The Alhambra Unified School District is seeking a highly skilled Intervention Specialist to join our team. As an Intervention Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting students who require additional academic support to meet standards.

• Direct Instruction: Provide targeted instruction to students within the site's Pyramid of Interventions to help them meet academic standards.
• Instructional Strategies: Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies to support student learning and achievement.
• Collaboration and Communication: Participate in site meetings and collaborate with teachers to ensure a consistent and coordinated academic program.
• Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current on best practices in academic support and intervention.
• Student Data Analysis: Analyze student data to identify areas of need and inform instructional decisions.
• Lesson Planning: Develop and implement lessons and activities tailored to meet the needs of individual students or small groups.
• Instructional Support: Provide instructional support services to identified students, including academic preventions and interventions.
• Standards-Based Instruction: Utilize standards-based core and supplemental materials to support student learning.
• Progress Monitoring: Regularly monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed.
• Home-School Links: Assist with establishing and maintaining home-school links to support student success.

• Credential: Valid California Multiple Subject Credential and EL Authorization: CLAD, EL Authorization.
• Bilingual Authorization: Bilingual authorization in Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, or Vietnamese is desirable.
