Key Responsibilities- Perform Daily Safety Inspections: Conduct a thorough examination of the workplace to identify potential safety hazards and report any issues to management.
- Conduct Routine Equipment Inspections: Regularly inspect all stationary and mobile equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Troubleshoot and Repair Equipment: Use your technical skills to diagnose and repair malfunctions on various types of rotating and conveyor systems, including pumps, elevators, screw conveyors, and other production machines.
- Perform Structural Welding: Use welding and cutting torch equipment to repair and maintain equipment, adhering to MSHA and AWS safety and performance standards.
- Repair and Maintain Stationary Equipment: Inspect and repair stationary equipment, such as conveyor systems, classification equipment, processing screens, water pumps, and other machinery.
- Observe and Analyze Equipment Performance: Monitor mechanical devices in operation and use your senses to identify potential issues.
- Coordinate Maintenance Activities: Work with the maintenance team to prioritize and schedule maintenance tasks, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal equipment performance.
- Inspect and Replace Parts: Dismantle equipment to replace defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools.
- Track Inventory and Maintenance Records: Maintain accurate records of replacement parts, supplies, and hardware in our CMMS system.
- Adhere to Preventative Maintenance Program: Perform tasks as scheduled and document maintenance activities in the CMMS system.
- Operate Mobile Equipment: Safely operate mobile equipment, including forklifts and man-lifts.
- Follow Safety Protocols: Adhere to all required safety procedures, including lock-out/tag-out and isolation procedures.
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, with 1-3 years of experience in a maintenance field.
- Technical Skills: Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills, with experience in milling, cement processing, or similar industries.
- Welding and Fabricating Skills: Proficient in welding and fabricating metals, including Hastelloy, Inconel, SS 304 &316L, and Aluminum.
- Communication and Teamwork Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Physical Demands: Must be physically capable of accessing all plant locations, including heights of 150 feet, confined spaces, and climbing ladders or stairs.
