Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Mammography Technologist to join our team at Women's Imaging Specialists. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for operating computer and mammography equipment for image production and documentation, documenting patient assessment and history, and providing patient care and breast education.

Responsibilities:

Operate computer and mammography equipment for image production and documentation
Document patient assessment and history
Provide patient care and breast education
Practice accurate and timely completion of scheduled and unscheduled work to maximize productivity
Perform quality control measures for the purpose of ensuring optimal images
Enter and properly complete all risk and history information into the Radiology Information System (RIS)
Set exam status accordingly, for interpretation by the radiologist in an accurate and timely manner
Exhibit flexibility and adaptability to unique needs of the department and respond appropriately
Communicate abnormal situations to proper sources in a way that facilitates resolution and/or tracking
Actively engage other health care providers (radiologist, surgeons, specialist, sonographers) to ensure quality, continuity, and appropriateness of care
Follow department procedures/processes/policies
Practice safety measures in radiography by adhering to all governing regulations
Follow universal precautions, infection control guidelines and sterile technique
Maintain exam room and work area

Requirements:

ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist with Mammography certification
At least one year experience as a Mammography Technologist performing screening & diagnostic exams
Basic Knowledge of MQSA and ACR guidelines
Basic Knowledge of mammography Quality Control and Quality Assurance
General knowledge of policies and procedures for the delivery of healthcare services
Basic PC (keyboarding & navigation) skills
