Job Overview

PCIW STEEL CORP is seeking a skilled Steel Fabricator/Welder to join our team. As a Steel Fabricator/Welder, you will be responsible for the fabrication and erection of structural steel components, including beams, columns, and trusses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Layout and Fabrication: Plan and execute the layout and fabrication of structural steel components, ensuring accuracy and precision.
  • Rigging and Erection: Safely rig and erect steel components, including beams, columns, and trusses, using scissor lifts and telehandlers.
  • Welding and Cutting: Perform welding and cutting operations on structural steel components, using flux core welding and oxy cutting torches.
  • Quality Control: Inspect and test steel components to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and delegate tasks to other ironworkers, ensuring efficient and safe work practices.
Requirements
  • Education and Certifications: High school diploma or equivalent, with welding certificates and OSHA certification.
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in steel fabrication, welding, and erection, with experience working with design and erection drawings.
  • Skills: Proficiency in structural steel profiles and processes, scissor lift and telehandler operation, and bilingual skills (Spanish and English).
Compensation

$25 - $40 hourly, depending on experience.
