KurzSolutions is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as a Behavioral Health Specialist. This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced inpatient care environment, providing top-notch care to patients with complex psychiatric needs.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough patient assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and provide evidence-based interventions to promote positive outcomes.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care, ensure seamless transitions, and provide education to patients and families.
- Administer medications, monitor patient responses, and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Apply de-escalation techniques to manage patient behavior, promote calm, and ensure a safe environment.
- Document patient progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate effectively with healthcare teams.
- Current RN licensure in at least one state, territory, or commonwealth in the U.S. or the District of Columbia.
- Minimum of three years' direct inpatient care experience in mental health/behavioral health specialty.
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
- Strong knowledge of psychiatric nursing principles, theories, and best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
