RN Labor Specialist

Cogent Infotech Corp is seeking a skilled RN Labor Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced labor and delivery environment.
Responsibilities:- Deliver patient care that is systematic, comprehensive, and accurate, with a focus on the normal stages of growth and development from pediatric to geriatric.
- Consistently demonstrate competent clinical skills, performing direct patient care activities in support of patient care delivery and team concept.
- Maintain complete and accurate documentation, demonstrating knowledge of documentation guidelines and assuming primary responsibility for documenting components of the nursing process and patient's progress.
- Demonstrate professional practice responsibility, knowledge of policies and procedures, and ability to identify areas for clinical and professional growth.
- Respond to patients, families, and co-workers in a professional, courteous, positive manner, promoting an environment where the patient and family are at the center and the patient care team works cooperatively toward their goals and objectives.
- Follow the National Patient Safety Goals, including following Universal Protocol and identifying patients using 2 patient identifiers, and demonstrate use of safe transfer techniques and proper body mechanics for self and patients.
- Assess patient reaction and understanding of procedure/instructions, actively including the patient and family members in teaching, and perform pre-operative and postoperative assessment and education.
- Support the completion of patient testing in a timely manner, evaluating Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) orders for appropriateness and potential omissions based on proposed surgery, patient age, and current state of health.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
- ACLS - Required
- BLS - Required
- RN License - Required
