Job Overview

Galaxy Technologies is seeking a skilled 5-Axis Machinist to join our team of experts in precision aerospace manufacturing.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC machining, with a focus on high-tolerance components and advanced 5-Axis machines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate 5-Axis machines to produce high-quality aerospace components with tight tolerances.
  • Interpret blueprints and set-up documents to ensure accurate hole placements, depths, and diameters.
  • Conduct thorough inspections to ensure adherence to specifications and maintain our commitment to excellence.
  • Maximize productivity by running multiple machines when required, while maintaining attention to detail and organization.
  • Continuously improve skills by cross-training on various machines and processes, contributing to our team's overall effectiveness.
  • Uphold safety protocols by wearing proper PPE at all times, ensuring a safe working environment for all.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment by assisting and supporting colleagues as needed.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of five years of CNC machining experience.
  • Proficiency in basic math skills and the ability to interpret blueprints and set-up documents accurately.
  • Working knowledge of G-Codes and the ability to edit programs as needed.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools, and operate computer software including Microsoft Office products.
  • Experience with precision tools such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, dial indicators, and scales.
  • Familiarity with hoist and forklift operation, and capability for large set-ups using cranes.

Schedule:

We offer two shifts: Monday to Friday, 7am to 3:30pm or Monday to Thursday, 3:30pm to 2:30am. Second shift employees enjoy a 15% shift differential.
