Position Overview
Deliver an exceptional customer experience while motivating team members to provide outstanding service. Create and uphold a safe, organized environment that encourages customer loyalty. Key Responsibilities
- Accurately fulfill customer prescription requests while ensuring precision in every filled prescription.
- Administer vaccinations as required.
- Offer patient counseling and pharmaceutical care to clients.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations (including HIPAA).
- Maintain a professional demeanor through personal appearance, conduct, and the overall condition of the pharmacy; uphold pharmacy standards and enforce company dress code.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the local market, its clientele, and competitors.
- Enhance the pharmacy department's reputation through exceptional service, friendliness, and collaboration with customers, team members, and external vendors.
- Oversee stock replenishment, inventory management, adherence to policies/procedures, record keeping, security, sanitation, scheduling, proper operation of equipment, pricing, planograms, returns, budgets, management reporting, and product recalls in accordance with company policy.
- Maintain accurate records, inventory, and security for all scheduled medications (i.e., controlled substances).
- Follow protocols for managing pharmacy products from authorized suppliers.
- Utilize all accuracy tools, including the accuracy scanner and 24-hour post-dispensing audit report, effectively.
- Establish and maintain all necessary record-keeping practices for legal compliance, company policies, accounting standards, and other required reports.
- Ensure a clean and organized workspace, including work counters, shelves, floors, and customer service areas, to present a professional and sanitary image to clients.
- Handle product returns promptly and in accordance with company policy.
- Maintain all equipment (e.g., computers, printers, accuracy scanners, and cash registers) to ensure optimal functionality.
- Organize all policy manuals, reference materials, state regulations, and required equipment, ensuring staff is knowledgeable about their use.
- Display appropriate signage (e.g., store hours, counseling information, service announcements, and pharmacist identification) in all necessary areas.
- Commit to continuous learning and enhancement of personal pharmacy knowledge and skills.
- Be capable of performing the essential functions of this role with or without reasonable accommodation.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD, or recognition as a Foreign Pharmacist Equivalent graduate from the Board of Pharmacy.
- Current state pharmacist licensure in good standing.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Basic mathematical skills (counting, addition, and subtraction).
- Ability to manage stressful situations effectively.
Preferred Experience/Education
- 1 year of experience in a retail setting.
- Proficiency in a second language (speaking, reading, and/or writing).
