Seeking an accomplished Culinary Director to spearhead our kitchen team at The Shenandoah Club in downtown Roanoke, Virginia.

Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef who can lead the culinary department in creating innovative menus and providing exceptional dining experiences for our members. With a strong focus on quality, safety, and customer satisfaction, our ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all food preparation, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring that our restaurant meets the highest standards of excellence.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 7-8 years of culinary experience, preferably in a high-volume fine dining environment. They must possess excellent leadership skills, the ability to work under pressure, and a deep understanding of cooking techniques, kitchen management, and staff development.

A degree in Culinary Science or a related field is required, along with strong knowledge of MS Office Suite and POS software programs. Our ideal candidate will be a creative problem-solver, a team player, and a passionate advocate for delivering exceptional service to our members.

Salary:$55,000 per year

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the culinary team in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation
  • Manage kitchen operations, including inventory control, scheduling, and staff development
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Maintain high-quality standards of food preparation, presentation, and service
