POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Chief Medical Officer, the Clinical Site Medical Officer is accountable for the professional, organizational, and administrative functions involved in delivering high-quality medical care to patients at Prologic Consulting Inc.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee the medical care and treatment of patients, holding primary medical responsibility while supporting the interdisciplinary care team.
Identify and implement strategies to enhance the quality, cost-effectiveness, and utilization of care for participants.
Manage a patient caseload as a primary care provider and engage in direct medical care within the treatment center.
Lead medical initiatives during the commencement of care events.
Engage in multidisciplinary team activities, including case discussions, hospitalization reviews, and family meetings.
Contribute to the Utilization Review of medical services provided by the organization.
Design and oversee the delivery of outpatient medical services.
Act as a liaison with other medical institutions and foster relationships with specialists and community physicians for semi-annual care planning.
Conduct patient evaluations, examinations, and treatments in various settings, including outpatient facilities and patient residences.
Provide in-service training and clinical education for trainees participating in the medical practice.
Contribute to the development of preventive health screening, immunization initiatives, community outreach, and quality assurance programs.
Operate within the defined scope of practice as authorized.
Meet established competencies for the specific role as determined by the organization prior to independent practice.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
SCHEDULE: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
WEEKLY HOURS: 40
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION:
Graduate of an accredited medical school.
Board Certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
Board Certification or experience in Geriatric Medicine is preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
Completion of residency in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine is required.
Fellowship or experience in geriatrics and palliative care is preferred.
Board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine is mandatory.
No history of malpractice or license revocation.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
A minimum of one (1) year of experience working with a frail or elderly population is required; if less than one (1) year, appropriate training from the organization on this demographic must be completed upon hiring.
LICENSE:
Current active unrestricted medical license to practice in the state.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be legally authorized to practice in the state where the healthcare professional will operate.
Must possess a Medicaid Provider ID and a Medicare Provider ID in good standing.
