Job Summary

Lincoln Memorial University is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to fill the role of Security Officer. As a key member of our campus community, the successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for students, faculty, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular security rounds of all property to ensure the safety and security of the campus community.
  • Maintain the security of all keys and key access to prevent unauthorized access to sensitive areas.
  • Research, report, and track crime and incident statistics in the RMS system.
  • Address policy violations when observed and report all maintenance and grounds issues through daily activity reporting.
  • Conduct traffic safety and issue traffic and parking citations as necessary.
  • React quickly and effectively in emergency situations to ensure the safety of the campus community.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Must pass a psychological evaluation and background check.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older (if the position requires being armed).
  • Law enforcement and/or security training preferred.
Working Conditions

The Security Officer will work in a fast-paced environment and be required to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. The successful candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team to ensure the safety and security of the campus community.
