The Good Samaritan Society is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide high-quality care to our residents in a long-term care setting. As an LPN, you will work under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician to deliver exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide professional nursing care to residents of all ages in a long-term care setting.
- Assess residents' physical and psychosocial needs and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by a physician or advanced practice provider.
- Document resident interactions and outcomes related to care, medication, behavior, activity, and dietary needs.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Counsel residents, family members, and/or resident advocates on prevention and treatment plans.
- Develop and implement self-care programs for residents.
Requirements:
- Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred.
- Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges.
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department-specific competencies and certifications.
