Therapist for Functional Rehabilitation

The Occupational Therapist is a critical member of our interdisciplinary team, responsible for assessing patients' strengths and weaknesses to create effective treatment plans promoting healing and functional independence. This role requires maintaining patient confidentiality and fostering a positive environment, while working closely with colleagues from various backgrounds. Ideal candidates possess expertise in Hand Therapy and are committed to delivering high-quality patient care.

Your Responsibilities:
- Collect and record patient care data that adheres to established guidelines, demonstrating an understanding of reimbursement systems and their impact on patient care.
- This includes initial evaluations, daily notes, reassessments/progress reports, discharge plans, and communication with the team.
- You will also prepare for evaluations according to department policies and standards of practice, including obtaining patient history, researching unfamiliar diagnoses, and administering tests and measures.
- Synthesize evaluation results to formulate diagnoses, goals, prognosis, and plans of care, establishing treatment plans based on these findings.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree required; Doctorate preferred.
- Licensed Occupational Therapist.
- Completed state-regulated CEU requirement in appropriate states (NY, NJ).
- Valid CPR license.
- Experience/knowledge with EMR software preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong clinical decision-making abilities.
- At least 1 year of professional OT experience.
- Excellent work ethic and dedication to patient success.
- Basic computer skills.
