Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled School Counselor to join our team at Avon Community School. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing academic, social, and emotional support to students, as well as collaborating with teachers and administrators to ensure student success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver individual and group counseling sessions to students
  • Collaborate with teachers and administrators to develop and implement student support plans
  • Provide social-emotional support to students, including crisis intervention and counseling
  • Communicate with parents and guardians to ensure student success
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in school counseling
Requirements
  • Master's degree in School Counseling or related field
  • Valid Indiana school counselor license
  • Experience working with students in a school setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and administrators
