Job Summary

The Garment Assembler is responsible for preparing clean garments for delivery by identifying, inspecting, sorting, bundling, and loading them according to route and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Retrieve finished garments from storage and inspect for quality
  • Sort and bundle garments according to route and customer specifications
  • Operate machinery for patches, labels, or stitching as needed
  • Meet efficiency and safety standards for the position
  • Follow instructions and maintain a clean work area
Requirements
  • Ability to recognize colors and sizes, count and load accurately
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain quality standards
  • Efficiently operate sewing, labeling, or patching machinery
  • Ability to comprehend labels and follow written packing instructions
Working Conditions

The Garment Assembler will work in a production area of an industrial laundry facility, which includes working with and around large machinery, variations in temperature, odors, humidity, lint, and dust.

This is a non-exempt position that requires standing, walking rapidly, seeing, hearing, reaching overhead, pushing, pulling, grasping, twisting, lifting up to 30 lbs., and stooping.
