We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our team at General Dynamics Information Technology. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing complex systems architecture for new or existing computer systems.
Key Responsibilities- Manage systems professionals directly or through subordinate managers and provide leadership, coaching, and training.
- Act as an advisor to subordinates to meet schedules and/or resolve technical problems.
- Develop schedules and performance metrics for engineering projects.
- Design and engineer highly complex infrastructures, including installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
- Provide critical insight and guidance for the preparation and maintenance of all documentation for processes and procedures related to engineering projects.
- Provide guidance to less-experienced Systems Engineers and coach and review their work.
- Maintain current knowledge of rapidly changing technology and work with management to evolve current processes.
- BA/BS (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in systems engineering
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
- CompTIA Security+CE or similar for IAT Level II DoD 8570 certification
- Technical expertise in infrastructure, VMware, Netapp, Juniper, Riverbed, Desktop, VDI Technologies, Compute, Windows Server, RHEL, Exchange, AD, Web, SharePoint, UC, Cisco, Avaya, Ops, ServiceNow, and Riverbed Aternity
