Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Pipefitting Apprentice to join our team at Comfort Systems USA Southwest. As a Pipefitting Apprentice, you will have the opportunity to learn and develop your skills in HVAC piping principles, systems, and relevant codes and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Learn and apply HVAC piping principles and systems
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Actively comply with health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures
  • Read and interpret documents, including safety rules, installation and operating manuals, design drawings, policies, and procedures
  • Calculate figures and amounts, apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry, and read charts, graphs, tables, and schematics
  • Apply common sense and basic understanding to carry out instructions and deal with problems involving several concrete variables
Work Environment

As a Pipefitting Apprentice, you will be exposed to moving mechanical parts, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme heat or cold conditions, risk of electrical shock, fumes, airborne particles, vibration, high or precarious locations, and loud noises.

Physical Demands

The physical demands of this job include standing, walking, using hands and fingers, handling or feeling, reaching with hands and arms, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, talking, hearing, or smelling. You must frequently lift and/or move up to at least 50 pounds.
