Job Description:

The Technical Instructor - Electrical Power is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction and facilitating the learning of students in the Electric Power and Controls program. This includes implementing, revising, and evaluating curriculum, utilizing resources to innovate and adapt to evolving program and industry needs, and providing up-to-date skills training and instruction to meet the learning needs of students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and deliver high-quality instruction and facilitate the learning of students.
  • Develop and implement curriculum, including revising and evaluating existing curriculum to ensure it meets evolving program and industry needs.
  • Utilize resources to innovate and adapt to changing program and industry needs.
  • Provide up-to-date skills training and instruction to meet the learning needs of students.
  • Maintain accurate student records and ensure opportunities for student evaluation.
  • Participate in related tours and recruitment events, and assist in department/program planning for recruitment.
Requirements:
  • Associates degree (or higher-level degree) in a related field or approved alternate certification/training.
  • Demonstrated competency in the field.
  • Demonstrate competency with the use of technology that supports learning and teaching.
  • Maintain a flexible schedule, including availability for evening, weekend, or summer assignments, as appropriate.
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment and committed to the mission and vision of the college.
