Job Summary

This part-time custodial position is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work environment at our facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining the physical structures, yard, and dock areas of the facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily cleaning tasks, including vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and dusting of office areas
  • Empty trash and recyclables from designated areas
  • Clean restrooms, including sinks, toilets, and mirrors
  • Perform general yard work, including cleaning, picking up trash, cutting grass, and maintaining gardens
  • Maintain parking areas, ensuring they are free of trash and debris
  • Clean dock and dock apron areas
  • Perform minor building repairs and painting as needed
  • Change light bulbs in office areas and on the dock
  • Change air conditioner filters
  • Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, company policies, and procedures
  • Perform other duties as required
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
  • Good cleaning techniques and floor buffing skills
  • Professional interaction with customers and coworkers
  • Good organizational skills
  • Basic verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to bend, twist, squat, and pull/push custodial equipment throughout the shift
  • Good chemical awareness
  • Able to follow instructions and complete required training
  • Able to work independently and as a team member
Working Conditions
  • Must be able to stand or walk for eight hours and do light lifting consistently
  • Exposure to climate conditions of the geographic area
  • Exposure to hot and cold soapy water, chemicals, dust, tobacco waste, or other irritants
  • Hours may vary due to operational need
