Job Summary

This role supports the Advanced Polymer Solutions (APS) Legal Department in various legal matters, ensuring compliance with legal standards and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct legal research and analysis to inform decision-making.
  • Draft legal memoranda and reports on regulatory changes.
  • Develop internal policies based on legal guidelines.
  • Review, draft, and revise contracts and legal documents.
  • Communicate with stakeholders to clarify contract terms.
  • Maintain a centralized database of contracts for tracking.
  • Organize documentation for legal matters, including emails, contracts, and reports.
  • Assist with employment-related legal matters, including drafting templates, matter intake, and supporting responses to administrative, pre-dispute, and litigation claims.
  • Assist with immigration matters, including visa applications and compliance tracking.
  • Oversee garnishments and coordinate with payroll and HR.
  • Gather information for pre-dispute and litigation matters, including document collection, factual analysis, and witness identification.
  • Prepare and maintain legal hold notices for e-discovery compliance.
  • Support due diligence and integration activities for mergers and acquisitions, including document gathering, and report and transaction document preparation.
  • Maintain APS corporate subsidiary records, legal entity governance, and respond to document requests or subpoenas.
  • Manage legal matters, including engagement letters and budget tracking.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and paralegal certification or equivalent credential.
  • At least 10 years of paralegal experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • High ethical standards and professional integrity.

  • Comprehensive paralegal and legal support skills.
  • Extensive transactional experience and in-house legal department exposure.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Initiative and ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on confidentiality.
