Job Title: Quality Assurance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Highwood USA. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality in our products.

About the Role

The Quality Assurance Specialist will play a critical role in promoting quality standards, conducting tests and inspections, documenting findings, making recommendations for improvements, and supporting the team through action plans.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain quality systems for existing and new products to meet customer needs
  • Participate in maintaining and recommending improvements to procedures that support quality system requirements
  • Promote a customer-centric mindset within the company
  • Understand customer needs and translate them into proactive support strategies
  • Uncover actionable insights to improve customer experience and efficiency
  • Serve as an escalation point for customers and employees with technical issues
  • Participate in developing and assisting with corrective and preventative actions
  • Administer internal communications to help interpret data, escalate issues, and drive action items
  • Prepare quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
  • 3 – 4 years of experience in a quality assurance role preferred
  • Knowledge of quality control processes and procedures
  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions, technical drawings, and specifications
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify, escalate, and document quality issues
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficient in MS Office, MS Word, MS Excel, and PowerPoint

Working Conditions:

The Quality Assurance Specialist will work in a manufacturing environment that may require standing, walking, and bending for extended periods. Personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided and required to be worn in designated areas.

Physical Requirements:

  • Stand, walk, and bend for extended periods
  • Lift up to 50 pounds
  • Use hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools, or controls
  • Visually inspect products and read technical drawings and specifications

The estimated salary range for this position is $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Benefits include medical and prescription drug coverage, dental and vision, life and disability insurance, paid holidays, and paid time off.
