This role involves significant participation in the simulation process, ensuring high levels of accuracy and effectiveness in treatment delivery.


Work Schedule:
This role requires a commitment of 72-80 hours over a two-week period, with 8-hour shifts during the day, free from on-call duties and weekend work.

About Our Department:
We are a leading Radiation Therapy Center, providing outpatient services from initial diagnosis through treatment and follow-up care. Our mission is to deliver world-class cancer care to the Iron Range and surrounding communities.


Our facility is equipped with:

  • 2 treatment vaults
  • 1 CT simulation room

We utilize advanced technology including Varian TrueBeam and iX accelerators, GE CT simulator, Eclipse treatment planning system, and Aria EMR.

Treatment Modalities:
We offer a variety of treatment types, including 3D, IMRT, IGRT, RapidArc, DIBH, SBRT, and SRS.

Collaborative Care Team:
Our multidisciplinary team includes Radiation Oncologists, Medical Oncology providers, Medical Physicists, Advanced Practice Providers, Dosimetrists, RN Care Coordinators, LPNs, receptionists, dietitians, and Social Workers.


Patient Demographics:
We primarily serve an adult patient population.

As a Radiation Therapist, your responsibilities will include:

  • Setting up, operating, and supervising the treatment equipment.
  • Coordinating radiation therapy in accordance with physician prescriptions.
  • Exhibiting effective written communication skills and maintaining detailed treatment documentation.
  • Preparing treatment rooms and equipment for patient use, including immobilization devices and field parameters.
  • Establishing patient treatment fields in the simulator as directed by a physician and assisting in the design and management of field diagrams.
  • Calculating treatment dosages for electron fields.
  • Conducting safety checks on equipment and reporting any discrepancies to management and physicists.
  • Assisting in the training of new staff members.

Required Qualifications:
Registered Radiation Therapist
ARRT Certification
BLS Certification

Preferred Qualifications:
1-3 years of relevant experience
Bachelor's Degree in a related field
