About this Job

Catheterization specialists play a critical role in the cardiac catheterization laboratory, working closely with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care. As a Catheterization Specialist, you will be responsible for preparing patients for procedures, operating equipment, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients for cardiac catheterization procedures, including explaining the procedure and obtaining informed consent
  • Operate and maintain cardiac catheterization equipment, including angioplasty machines and electrophysiology equipment
  • Monitor patients during procedures and respond to any complications or emergencies
  • Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient procedures and outcomes

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a cardiac catheterization laboratory or related field
  • Active license or certification in a relevant field, such as cardiovascular technology or radiologic technology
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to work varied shifts and respond to changing priorities
