Dietary Cook Specialist

Compensation PackageThe anticipated pay range for this position in California is $17.50-$20.00 per hour. Full-time employees will be eligible for a variety of comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance plans, tuition assistance, and a 401K plan.
Job DescriptionThis role involves providing high-quality customer service to residents, families, coworkers, and vendors. Responsibilities include pre-assembling resident trays and carts, assisting with food preparation, waiting on residents at table in skilled dining, attending menu conferences, and planning food quantities to meet serving needs of the residents.
Key Responsibilities- Provides quality customer service efficiently to residents, families, co-workers, and vendors.
- Pre-assembles resident trays and carts as directed.
- Assists with food preparation and waits on residents at table in skilled dining.
- Attends menu conferences and plans food quantities to meet serving needs of the residents.
- Cleans and washes small equipment.
- Supervises dietary aides, relief cook, and afternoon cook.
- Ensures dining room is clean and transports dishes, trash, etc., to appropriate areas.
- Restocks all areas.
- Attends all mandatory in-service meetings.
The ideal candidate should possess experience in quantity food cooking and have knowledge of basic principles of cooking and equipment use. A mentally alert individual with excellent communication skills is required. Ability to accurately measure food ingredients and portions is essential.
