About the Position
The University of Florida is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate psychiatrist to join the Student Health psychiatry team. As a faculty member in the College of Medicine, the successful candidate will be at the forefront of providing comprehensive psychiatric care to UF students facing diverse mental health challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality psychiatric care to UF students, including general mental health disorders, multicultural concerns, trauma, eating disorders, substance abuse, and gender/sexual minority issues.
- Collaborate with various campus entities to promote mental health and resilience among students.
- Participate in medical education and contribute to the educational mission of the College of Medicine.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of mental health programs and services for UF students.
Requirements
- MD or DO degree and licensure in or eligibility for licensure in the State of Florida.
- Completed residency in psychiatry.
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Fellowship training in Addiction Medicine or Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.
- Prior clinical experience working with the collegiate-age population.
Benefits and Compensation
The University of Florida offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including low-cost State Health plans, a number of Dental and Vision plans, and a variety of leave programs. Faculty accrue approximately 22 vacation days and 13 sick days annually, and are eligible for the GatorPerks discount program.
