Job Title: Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

Job Summary:

The Respiratory Therapist will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing and implementing respiratory care plans, and providing education to patients and families. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess patient needs and develop respiratory care plans
  • Provide education to patients and families on respiratory care and disease management
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Operate and maintain respiratory equipment
  • Document patient information and progress
Requirements:
  • Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license issued by the state in which the team member practices
  • Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential issued by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) within 12 months OR active Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential issued by the NBRC if credential received prior to January 1, 2019
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
