Job Summary:

We are seeking a Class C Driver to join our team at MediaNews Group. As a Class C Driver, you will be responsible for delivering bulk newspaper and printed materials to our Metro Denver Circulation Centers. This is a night shift position, and you must be available to work 40 hours per week, 5 days consecutively. Overtime is available on occasion, but not required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver bulk newspaper and printed materials to our Metro Denver Circulation Centers
  • Drive a 24 ft. box truck, requiring a regular Colorado Driver's License
  • Break down and sort loads for shipping to multiple Circulation distribution centers
  • Responsible for efficient and accurate delivery of the newspaper and supplements as manifested
  • Break down and sort polybags and supplies as needed to ship to various statewide customer distribution centers
  • Check loads, including all supplements for accurate count on every truck load
  • Retrieve and return empty pallets and any recycle/returned newsprint from previous editions
  • Respond to circulation staffing inquiries
  • Practice defensive driving skills and maintain a safe-driving record
Requirements:
  • Ability to work with a variety of people
  • Valid Colorado driver's license
  • Demonstrate sensitivity to customer satisfaction
  • Basic math aptitude, communication, and organization skills
  • Ability to operate a pallet jack and a lift gate on a box truck
  • High school diploma or equivalent

MediaNews Group offers a comprehensive benefits package and a 401K plan (all benefits are based on eligibility). The hourly wage is $20.00, based on several factors including education, work experience, time in role, certifications, etc.
