Production Expeditor

Amtec Enterprise is seeking a skilled Production Expeditor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for expediting production to ensure a continuous flow of materials and parts that conforms to the manufacturing schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

• Update MRP, MSS, and RTW systems with timely and accurate information to maintain work in process (WIP) data accuracy.
• Plan monthly and/or short-term production dates and quantities to level load the work plan, identifying and reporting delays or problems that may impact production schedules.
• Coordinate material movements between internal work and storage areas and/or outside processing or suppliers to ensure materials are available when needed.
• Meet customer shipping dates by scheduling and expediting the movement of parts, identifying shortages, missing parts, discrepant parts, or additional requirements and reporting status to the appropriate area.
• Assist management in ensuring follow-up actions are taken to resolve problems concerning over-shipments, shortages, engineering changes, work orders on hold, and cancellation of orders.

Requirements:

• Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job typically acquired through five or more years of directly related experience.
• General knowledge of aerospace industry products with considerable knowledge of manufacturing routings, travelers, and blueprints.
• Ability to use standard business software applications and is proficient using specialized manufacturing resource planning systems (e.g. MSS, RTW).
• Ability to implement and effectively apply continuous improvement methods.
