Job Summary

Azusa Pacific University is seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty member to serve as a Production Director for Theater Productions. This is a continuous applicant pool, and adjunct assignments are filled on an as-needed basis.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and teach curriculum in accordance with departmental goals and objectives.
  • Provide student advising and office hours as assigned.
  • Participate in faculty meetings and departmental activities as identified by the department chair or program director.
  • Evaluate student mastery of material and assign final course grades.
  • Responsible for daily electronic timekeeping.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree or terminal degree in the field of instruction or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Teaching experience at the college or university level is preferred.
  • Ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated Christian faith compatible with the mission of Azusa Pacific University.
Workload

Assigned teaching duties will not exceed 9 units per semester; office hours and additional duties may be assigned. Total workload will not exceed 29 hours per week, or 24 units per 12-month period.

Compensation

$27.32/hour (Using a 3 unit full semester appointment as a pay guide). The actual hourly rate will be determined by the units, course length, experience, and rank of the candidate. Adjuncts are paid on an hourly basis which includes preparation and teaching time.
