About the Role

Ahlstrom is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Process Engineer Intern to join our team at our Kaukauna, Wisconsin plant for the summer of 2025. As a Process Engineer Intern, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our paper manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving process and reliability issues
  • Support the execution of maintenance activities and projects
  • Collaborate with plant teams and maintenance personnel to identify and plan daily, weekly, and shutdown work
  • Develop and implement preventative and predictive maintenance processes to reduce unplanned downtime and increase overall asset efficiency
  • Investigate maintenance needs to support operations
  • Support maintenance craftsmen with their day-to-day tasks
  • Work with suppliers to order equipment and parts
  • Document equipment specifications and history
  • Provide maintenance coverage for start-ups from outages
Requirements
  • Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
  • Enrolled in an Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or related degree program
  • Living in or willing to relocate to the Kaukauna, Wisconsin area from June - December 2025
  • Ability to work full-time for the duration of the position
  • Strong desire to work within a fast-paced, manufacturing environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels of the organization
  • Strong technical aptitude and proven problem-solving abilities
