Position Overview:

We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Special Education Teacher to support students in a resource classroom environment. This full-time role is centered on assisting middle school learners (Grades 6-8) with special needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students with diverse needs.
  • Deliver customized instruction and support in the resource classroom to meet the academic, social, and emotional requirements of students.
  • Work collaboratively with general education instructors, parents, and school personnel to establish a unified support network for students.
  • Conduct evaluations to monitor student development and modify teaching approaches as necessary.
  • Foster a positive and organized classroom atmosphere that promotes student participation and learning.
  • Engage in IEP meetings and assist in the formulation and assessment of students' educational objectives.
  • Keep precise and confidential documentation of student progress and interventions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related discipline (Master's degree is advantageous).
  • Possession of a valid teaching license in Special Education.
  • Experience with middle school students in a resource classroom setting is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
  • Capability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and educational staff.
