Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician II to join our team at our Sterling, MA facility. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining a variety of production and building equipment, as well as related work involved in maintaining the building.

Responsibilities
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, safety, and environmental guidelines.
  • Complete scheduled preventative maintenance on equipment and machinery in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with production operators to diagnose and correct machine issues as needed.
  • Diagnose problems with equipment and repair or replace defective parts.
  • Assist with efforts to exceed divisional downtime standards and expectations.
  • Assist the plant with after-hours repairs as needed.
  • Fabricate as needed.
  • Able to work overtime as needed, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Other duties and/or projects as may be assigned.
Qualifications
  • Basic math skills.
  • Good English language skills.
  • Welding skills.
  • Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on manufacturing mechanical experience.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.
  • Carpentry skills.
  • No fear of heights.
  • Basic manufacturing wiring experience.
Education
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
Physical Demands
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, and communicate.
  • Ability to see and hear.
  • Regularly required to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
  • Regularly required to stretch and bend.
  • Frequently climb towers up to 45 feet high.
  • Regularly required to climb or balance.
  • Regularly required to stoop, kneel, or crouch.
  • Strong motor skills.
  • Able to handle potential extreme conditions of heat, cold, wet, humid, and windy conditions while wearing PPE.
