Position Overview

The Warehouse Process Improvement Engineer plays a pivotal role in overseeing the assessment and enhancement of inventory management processes within the warehouse. This role involves crafting standard operating procedures and spearheading projects aimed at continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process Development and Support: Innovate, evaluate, and assist in the implementation of changes to manufacturing processes; create standard operating procedures to boost efficiency and ensure consistency.
  • Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Gather and analyze critical performance indicators such as cycle time, storage efficiency, and yield to foster enhancements in processes and quality. Engage in Kaizen events to document and refine warehouse operations.
  • Layout and Workflow Optimization: Assess and strategize workflow, equipment arrangement, and spatial requirements to elevate the efficiency of warehouse processes.
Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline, or an advanced degree with equivalent experience is required. Candidates should possess:

  • Over 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting.
  • Expertise in developing detailed layouts for equipment, processes, and workflows.
  • Proficiency in Lean or Six Sigma methodologies across various scenarios.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, with the ability to extract meaningful insights from data.
  • Collaborative mindset, adaptable to the dynamics of a warehouse environment.
  • Leadership skills to guide cross-functional teams and work effectively with contractors and vendors on projects.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, suitable for all organizational levels.
  • Ability to facilitate projects in a technical, multi-organizational context.
