Pharmacy Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Walgreens. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in assisting pharmacists in the practice of pharmacy, ensuring accurate and efficient dispensing of medications, and providing exceptional customer service to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Assist pharmacists in the performance of pharmacy duties, including retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical drugs, verifying medicine, and checking for possible interactions.
- Use pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Process prescriptions, including manual claims for third-party program prescription services.
- Assist with inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing shipments of pharmaceuticals.
- Provide exceptional customer service, engaging with patients and answering questions to ensure a positive experience.
- Develop strong relationships with most valuable customers.
- Assist with exterior and interior maintenance, ensuring the Pharmacy Department is stocked with adequate supplies, clean, neat, and orderly.
- Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
- Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
- Prefer prior work experience with Walgreens.
- Prefer good math skills and computer skills.
- Prefer knowledge of store inventory control and PTCB or ExCPT certification.
