Great Rooms Furniture & Mattresses is a dynamic company seeking a skilled Warehouse and Delivery Associate to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to provide excellent customer service and contribute to the success of our organization.

Job Description:

This role involves delivering household goods to our clients and showrooms, while maintaining a high level of professionalism and respect towards customers and employees.

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, energetic, and have a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service. They will be able to effectively manage various situations on a day-to-day basis and work collaboratively with other team members.

Responsibilities:
  • Delivery Experience: 1 year of delivery driving experience preferred but not required.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Must possess or be able to obtain a chauffeur's license.
  • Warehouse Operations: Unload and load shipments, contribute to an organized and efficient warehouse environment.
  • Route Management: Deliver a wide variety of items to different addresses and routes, following schedules and DOT regulations.
  • Vehicle Operations: Load, unload, prepare, inspect, and operate delivery vehicles safely.
  • Mechanical Skills: Ability to operate forklifts and pallet jacks in various weather and traffic conditions.
  • Safety and Compliance: Follow safety standards and regulations, including DOT guidelines.
  • Lifting and Moving: Must be able to lift and move up to 150lbs using equipment provided and safe lifting protocols.
Qualifications:
  • Valid Driver's License: Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Driving Skills: Ability to drive multiple types of vehicles, such as box trucks and express vans.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills to manage various tasks and responsibilities.
  • Independence: Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Time Management: Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines and complete tasks efficiently.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with customers and vendors.
